Multiplication Info ...

We have been practicing our timestables at school, focusing on understanding the concept of multiplication as repeated addition (e.g. 3 x 5 is the same is 5 + 5 + 5).

Both Grade 2s and 3s will participate in quizzes every couple of weeks (beginning this Thurs., Feb. 20 with 0, 1 and 2 timestables quiz to x7)

Gr. 3's are expected, by the end of Gr. 3, to know their 0 - 7 timestables, up to x7.

Gr. 2's are expected to understand the concept of multiplication as repeated addition. Any timestables the Gr. 2's have memorized are a bonus to help them get ready for memorization in Gr. 3!
